Linebacker Niko Noga of the Raiders was worth nowhere near what his agent was asking during salary negotiations, Detroit Lion executive Chuck Schmidt testified during the NFL antitrust trial in Minneapolis.
Schmidt disputed agent Mark Bartlestein’s testimony that had Noga been a starting linebacker for the Lions in 1990 and 1991, he would have been paid $1 million. Schmidt said that Noga participated in only one play at linebacker in 1990 and 1991 was paid $320,000 and $350,000, respectively.
