ENCINO : Man Pleads Not Guilty to Threatening Janet Jackson
A New York man accused of threatening pop superstar Janet Jackson at the Jackson family compound in Encino pleaded not guilty Monday in U.S. District Court to charges of mailing threats to her through the mail.
Frank Paul Jones, 33, also pleaded not guilty to charges brought by federal prosecutors that he threatened director John Singleton, who is working with Jackson on a film, and Jackson’s boyfriend, Rene Elizondo.
If convicted, Jones faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison and $1 million in fines, said Assistant U.S. Atty. Gregory W. Jessner.
