ENCINITAS : Abandoned Infant Found at School
An abandoned baby about 8 months old was found Saturday in Encinitas by a passerby on the campus of San Dieguito High School.
The baby girl was found on a lawn next to the school gym. She was described as brown-eyed, with brown hair and dressed in a diaper and a long-sleeve white T-shirt with colored bows, said Deputy Victoria Reden of the Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities were summoned to the school by the woman who found the baby. The child was turned over to the county Department of Social Services.
Anyone with information about the child should call detectives in the child abuse unit at 692-8000.
