Combat Roles for Women
At the risk of being called a reactionary Neanderthal, or much worse, I would like to submit the premise that women should not serve in our armed forces in any capacity except possibly for office clerical jobs.
Being a man, I believe relatively normal, I know that close proximity to members of the opposite sex leads to thoughts and actions that are par for the course. Meaning, of course, intermingling and doing “what comes naturally.â€
This business of sexual harassment is normal and natural whether you approve of it or not--and will always be with us.
And to add to this heresy, I have to ask, why a normal reasonably attractive female would want to join the armed services? I have to assume that the chances of landing a husband or boyfriend are much more likely under close proximity.
