VENTURA : Schools Chief to Announce Plans
- Share via
Trustees for the Ventura Unified School District will find out Tuesday whether the district will need to find a replacement for Supt. Cesare Caldarelli Jr., who is considering accepting a new post in Illinois.
Caldarelli, whose contract runs out in two years, has been seeking other job offers since trustees declined to renew his contract in April. He recently was offered the job of superintendent of the Bensenville Elementary School District but has not informed Ventura officials of his plans.
Board President Terrence Kilbride said he expects Caldarelli to make his decision by Tuesday at the latest.
Two years ago, teachers in the Ventura district passed a vote of no confidence against Caldarelli.
