The architectural firm that designed the Beverly Hills Main Post Office has received an urban beautification award from the Los Angeles Business Council.

The 47,000-square-foot building at 3rd Street and Maple Drive has a 45-foot-high circular glass entry tower, a spiral staircase and a sculptured rendition of the U.S. Postal Service seal.

It includes a sorting and distributing room, administrative offices, and a lobby, as well as interior and rooftop parking.
