Official Honored for Safe Transportation

Bernie Tooksberry, general manager of Durham Transportation’s terminal in Rosemead, which provides student transportation to school districts in the San Gabriel Valley, has received the Golden Merit Award from the National School Transportation Assn. for dedication to the safe transportation of schoolchildren.

Tooksberry was honored for his excellence in service, safety programs and community responsibility. Durham Transportation’s Rosemead terminal provides transportation for the El Monte City School District, Garvey School District, South Pasadena Unified School District, Temple City Unified School District, Rosemead Elementary School District and Los Angeles County Office of Education.
