Chris Riley of San Diego moved into a tie for the lead after two rounds in the All-American Prep Golf Championships at Lyman Meadows Country Club in Middlefield, Conn.
Riley’s one-over 73 and an opening-round 74 left him tied for the lead at 147 with Ryan Kelly of Washington heading into today’s final round.
Riley, a June graduate of Patrick Henry High, qualified for the national championship tournament by winning the Southern California Golf Assn. tournament in June. In the past two months, Riley has also won the San Diego Section individual tournament and the San Diego Amateur.
