In response to articles on the commercialization of the Hollywood sign (July 6-7):
Chuck Welch, president of the Hollywoodland Homeowners Assn., seems to have forgotten his history, and his sense of humor. This ain’t Paris and this ain’t Washington. This is Hollywood!
The “Hollywood” sign is the most recognized, most common billboard in the world, advertising the most salable, most appealing commodity in the world: lights! camera! action! Roll ‘em, Chuck.
