Eggstraordinary: A fossilized dinosaur egg laid in France about 70 million years ago was auctioned at Christie’s in London for $10,444. Auctioneers said they believed the solid brown fossil, which resembles a chocolate egg, was the first fossil egg to come to auction. At the same sale last week, an early 19th-Century French condom sold for $6,300 in what the auction house said was a world record price for a male contraceptive.
