It’s a day of skyrocketing passion, but private fireworks are banned in Orange County--except in Buena Park, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana. In those three cities, legal fireworks are limited to fountains, smoke bombs and ground flowers. Violations may be reported to (714) 538-3501.
