Maribell Guzman was pronounced dead about 10:36 a.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange, according to Santa Ana Police Lt. Bob Chavez.
The accident occurred after the girl ran out of the apartment of her parents in the 2800 block of North Bristol Street. She dashed into a courtyard and into the path of the truck.
The driver of the truck, neighbor Oscar Adolfo Quezada, 26, was moving furniture into the complex, Chavez said.
