Optimism Hotline Goes Cold After Story

Apparently your story on optimism (“Half Full, Half Empty,” June 23) touched many people, who reached out to the Optimism Hotline for further information on how they can expand their own optimistic outlook in life.
Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming volume of telephone calls for the hot line, the circuits were overloaded and blew. The number is temporarily out of service.
