LETHAL WEAPONS
The men and women engaged in the activity of selling advanced weapons to unstable, violent governments are the epitome of evil incarnate (“Weapons for the Masses,†by Joel Millman, May 10). They have full knowledge that a customer is likely to use the product for the butchering of innocent civilians or in the suppression of democratic institutions. And for money, they write out a receipt and deliver to a murderer another weapon.
If the United States was interested in peace more than profit and knew how to direct economic expansion to environmentally responsible industries, we might still have a chance.
