Marketing Pact: Fujitsu Business Communication Systems, a telecommunications equipment manufacturer in Anaheim, has signed a joint marketing agreement with U.S. Sprint Communications Inc., the nation’s third-largest long-distance service company.
Under the agreement, Fujitsu will market Sprint’s long-distance phone service for businesses to telecommunications equipment buyers.
The two companies will train sales representatives to give coordinated sales pitches to prospective customers.
Tony Carollo, chief operating officer of the Fujitsu unit, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based technology giant Fujitsu Ltd., said the agreement could help Fujitsu sell its line of PBX systems, or corporate switchboard systems. Sprint officials said the relationship will simplify telecommunications service.
