Jim Perry to Coach at La Quinta Again

Jim Perry announced Monday he will return as boys’ basketball coach at La Quinta High School after a one-year absence. Perry replaces Kevin Kiernan, who resigned last week to become the women’s basketball coach at Cypress College.
Perry, 40, resigned after the 1990-91 season, compiling a 126-113 record and winning four Garden Grove League titles.
