OJAI : Company to Present Golf Course Plans
Representatives of the Farmont Corp. will deliver a presentation today on their proposed golf course during the regular meeting of the Ojai Valley Sanitary District board of directors.
Farmont officials have in the past expressed interest in acquiring rights to treated waste water from the sanitary district for irrigation of the 18-hole course, proposed for a 203-acre parcel of agricultural land east of Ojai.
Farmont officials have also indicated that they hope to hook into the district’s sewage system if their club is approved by Ventura County officials.
The environmental impact report for the project was released last month and is in the midst of a 45-day review period.
The presentation at tonight’s meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the district’s Tico Road headquarters, is one of many that Farmont officials are giving to local government bodies and citizens groups in an effort to win support for their plan.
