Garden Grove : 11 Schools Compete in Olympic Games

Hundreds of disabled students from the Garden Grove Unified School District competed Friday in a day of races and other sports events as part of the district’s 21st Annual Olympic Games.
Students as young as 5 years old competed at the Bolsa Grande High School stadium, in sprints, relay races, standing long jump and softball throw.
Students represented 11 district schools, including Loyal H. Barker, Dr. Merton E. Hill, Excelsior, Thomas Paine, TMR Mendenhall, Sunnyside and Enders elementary schools; Hilton D. Bell Intermediate School, La Quinta and Bolsa Grande high schools, and the Jordan Secondary Learning Center at Donald S. Jordan Intermediate.
