Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Northern Illinois and Southwestern Louisiana will compete in football in the Big West Conference beginning in 1993.
The four schools join Cal State Fullerton, New Mexico State, San Jose State, Nevada, Nevada Las Vegas, Pacific and Utah State in the conference.
