U.S. Seizes Dinosaur Bones Tied to Sioux Controversy

HILL CITY, S.D. — Federal agents on Thursday began seizing the bones of a Tyrannosaurus rex from a private institute that was accused by a Sioux tribe of illegally removing the fossil from Indian land. U.S. Atty. Kevin Schieffer said the remains, believed to be the most complete dinosaur skeleton ever found, were evidence in a criminal case and would be stored at another location.
