PALMDALE : Crash Into Creek Injures Motorist

A motorist was injured when his car careened off a two-lane wooden bridge early Thursday and landed in the shallow waters of Amargosa Creek in Palmdale, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Charles Bruce, 23, of Palmdale was in good condition at Palmdale Hospital after his car went off the bridge at Elizabeth Lake Road near 25th Street West about 4 a.m., Deputy Gil Arce said.
The accident was still under investigation, Arce said, and the heavily damaged bridge was expected to be closed for several days.
