AFTER THE RIOTS : Fire Damage Sites

The structures hit by last week’s civil disturbances in the San Fernando Valley suffered $635,580 in fire damage, according to a preliminary assessment by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Ten Valley structures were burned during the rioting and looting spree, according to the 52-page report. The report notes that its damage estimates are based on “very broad guidelines” and that its assessment of damage is “neither complete nor accurate.”
