Judgment Reversed on Occidental Unit: Occidental Petroleum Corp. said a federal appeals court in Denver had reversed a $28-million judgment against a natural-gas pipeline subsidiary, reducing its liability in the case to $8 million plus interest. The action grew out of a decades-old breach-of-contract dispute with a unit of Coastal Corp. Coastal’s Colorado Interstate Gas Co. filed a suit in 1984 against Occidental’s MidCon Corp. subsidiary, Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America, alleging that the unit had broken a 1982 long-term contract to buy gas.
