The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between April 27 and May 3.
Glendale
East Colorado Street, 100 block--Burglars used a crowbar to break into a gift shop April 29 or 30, and $150 in cash and jewelry, a calculator and other merchandise valued at $534 were stolen.
San Fernando Road, 3800 block--A man was robbed at gunpoint of $630 as he left a bank at 12:20 p.m. May 1. The robber fled in a car with the license plate covered.
West Glenoaks Boulevard, 2000 block--A man sprayed a store clerk in the face with dog repellent when the clerk refused to sell beer to the man after hours at 2:30 a.m. May 2. As the man fled, two bystanders detained him for police.
Melrose Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves entered an apartment between 9:30 and 11:45 p.m. May 2 and stole a microwave oven, toaster, leather jacket, ring and silverware of unknown value.
La Canada Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 1500 block--A palm tree valued at $700 was reported to be on fire at 2:48 a.m. May 1. A resident extinguished the blaze with a garden hose.
Oak Grove Road, 4600 block--A woman reported that a man had exposed himself to her inside a stable at 12 p.m. April 27.
La Crescenta
Ocean View Boulevard, 4300 block--Two men were arrested at 12:05 a.m. April 28 after police found tools used in auto burglaries in their car and they told conflicting stories about why they were in the area.
Atwater Village
Los Feliz Boulevard, 3000 block--Three men robbed a market employee at knifepoint of $300 at 2:40 a.m. May 2.
Eagle Rock
Colorado Boulevard, 2100 block--A burglar entered a TV store and stole a stereo and video equipment valued at $6,000 at 4:15 a.m. April 30.
Wiota Street, 4700 block--A vehicle was stolen after a man held a screwdriver to the driver’s neck at 6:20 p.m. May 3.
Echo Park
Echo Park Avenue, 1300 block--A person at a takeout window of a fast-food restaurant was robbed at gunpoint of money and jewelry valued at $305 by two men at 12:05 a.m. April 28.
Stadium Way, 2000 block--Two men robbed a person on a sidewalk of $70 cash at 3:15 a.m. May 3 after threatening the victim with a blunt object.
Glassell Park
North Holyoke Drive, 3400 block--Video equipment and a TV valued at $1,057 were stolen from a home between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 27.
Altman Street, 2400 block--Computer equipment and supplies valued at $15,035 were stolen from a garage between April 25 and 27.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3800 block--A man armed with a revolver entered a commercial facility and demanded money. He fled with $1,693 cash at 4:45 p.m. May 1.
Griffith Park
West Zoo Drive, 5200 block--Thieves broke the lock to a trailer at a construction site and stole tools valued at $5,000 on April 28 or 29.
Highland Park
North Chestnut Avenue, 800 block--Thieves pried security bars from the windows of an apartment and removed video equipment and compact discs valued at $1,550 between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. April 27.
North Figueroa Street, 5600 block--A man used a demand note to rob a bank teller at 12:45 p.m. April 30, and he fled with $1,300 in “decoy” currency.
Los Feliz
Hollywood Boulevard, 4800 block--Money and supplies valued at $15,000 were stolen from a fast-food restaurant between April 25 and 26.
North Mariposa Avenue, 1800 block--Burglars entered an apartment through an unlocked window and stole $1,100 in currency between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. April 27.
Prospect Avenue, 4100 block--The side door of a home was forced open and a stereo and computer equipment valued at $1,726 were removed between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. April 28.
North Vermont Avenue, 1100 block--Four men armed with a revolver forced their way into a commercial building and demanded that an employee open a safe at 9 a.m. April 28. The men fled with $25,000 in cash and checks.
Hollywood Boulevard and Vermont Avenue--Two people in a vehicle were stopped at a red light when two men opened their car door, hit them and stole money and jewelry valued together at $7,640 at 6 p.m. April 30.
Vermont Avenue, 1100 block--Three men with a semiautomatic handgun robbed a person in a bank parking lot of money and jewelry valued at $7,300 at 6:10 p.m. May 3.
Mt. Washington
North Figueroa Street, 2200 block--Two armed men ordered two people on the street to lie on the ground and robbed them of $730 cash at 10 p.m. April 28.
