Gripes Won’t Fly
It’s tiresome to hear pampered airline passengers continually complaining about meals served high in the sky (Great Airline Food: Why It Won’t Fly, April 9).
Not only is it a miracle to be served hot food while in flight, but travelers are offered choices--vegetarian, seafood salad, kosher, etc. plus a daily selection of appetizing dishes.
It wouldn’t hurt overfed Americans to do without a meal while in the air. Most flights aren’t that long. Or they could brown-bag if they can’t do without a meal and bring their own coffee Thermos.
With half the world starving, dissatisfied passengers should quit griping, thank their lucky stars they receive such excellent services on flights and take the time to fill out an airline comment card once in a while with compliments to the chefs who struggle to please them.
