Bob Foth of Clarence, N.Y., and David Johnson of Hampton, Va., earned berths on the U.S. Olympic team during the men’s three-position rifle competition in Chino. Foth completed the three-day event with an aggregate score of 3,698.5 points to 3,681.6 for Johnson. Foth trailed by 10 points Tuesday, but shot a national record 1,178 to earn the victory.
