Fewer Women in the News
It is sadly ironic that within days of the publication of the fourth annual “Women, Men and Media Survey†indicating that the face of today’s media is (as it has always been) predominantly male, we find William F. Buckley in Column Right (April 9) and Colman McCarthy (Commentary, April 10) providing us with their cynical and paternalistic bombast on the morality of abortion, while the voices of average American women for whom abortion is an ever-present reality, are scarcely heard, if they are heard at all.
