Countywide : Agency Aims to Pair Seniors for Housing
The Orange County Area Agency on Aging will hold a series of meetings next month to bring together senior citizens who are seeking roommates.
The purpose of the program is to match seniors from all areas of Orange County who are finding it financially difficult to live alone. The program has helped find shared housing for 8,000 people since 1978, according to agency officials.
The meetings will be held during the week of May 11 in Buena Park, San Clemente, Orange, Garden Grove, Laguna Hills and Fullerton.
Here is the schedule for the meetings:
* May 11, at 10 a.m. at the Buena Park Senior Center.
* May 12, at 1:30 p.m. at the San Clemente Senior Center; and 2 p.m. at the Orange Senior Center.
* May 14, 1 p.m. at the H. Louis Lake Senior Citizens Center in Garden Grove.
* May 15, at 1:30 p.m. at the Laguna Hills Senior Center; and 2 p.m. at the Fullerton Senior Center.
