* Thomas W. Wathen, chairman and chief executive of Pinkerton’s Inc., will assume the added posts of president and chief operating officer of the Van Nuys-based security services concern, effective June 30.
Wathen, 62, replaces Albert J. Berger, who will return to his former role as a consultant and remain a Pinkerton’s director. Berger, 55, had become a company executive in 1990 to help Pinkerton’s with its initial public stock offering, among other duties.
