His books included “Building the Suez Canal,†“Imperial Masquerade,†and “A History of Furniture.†He served for 10 years as Los Angeles senior editor of Architectural Digest magazine, and until recently held a similar post at Audio-Video Interiors magazine. On April 7 in Santa Monica of cancer.
