Driver Is Killed When Truck Overturns
A driver was killed in northwestern San Diego County Tuesday when he was thrown from his truck as it overturned after being hit from the rear by another truck.
The victim was Doyle McCann, 68, of Aguanga in Riverside County. He suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. McCann, a retired body and fender shop operator, was not wearing a seat belt, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP said McCann was northbound on California 79, near Chihuahua Valley Road, when his truck was hit from behind by a truck driven by Jacek Lisiewicz of Los Angeles. It was not known why Lisiewicz’s truck hit McCann’s. Lisiewicz was not charged, the CHP said.
