Creative Computer’s Quarterly Profits Climb

Creative Computer Applications Inc., a Calabasas-based provider of laboratory information systems to health-care facilities, said its fiscal second-quarter profit surged to $106,624 from $19,629 a year earlier.

The higher earnings in the quarter ended Feb. 29 came on a 27% increase in Creative Computer’s sales, to $1.32 million from $1.04 million a year earlier.

For the first half of its fiscal year, the company’s profit nearly doubled, to $207,656 from $109,300, and its six-month sales climbed 13%, to $2.54 million from $2.25 million.
