Mater Dei 5, Rosary 1--Dawn Kobata had three hits and scored two runs for visiting Mater Dei (7-1-1, 2-0), the top-ranked team in the county.
In Century League softball:
Villa Park 3, Orange 1--In the top of the seventh, Jenny Boroughs tripled in Tara Earl with the tying run, then scored on a single by Silvia Salgado for visiting Villa Park (9-5, 1-0).
In the Empire League:
Cypress 1, Loara 0--Monica Jimenez threw a three-hitter, striking out 12, for Cypress (10-1, 1-0), ranked third in the county.
Los Alamitos 2, El Dorado 1--Amanda Peterson had an RBI single in the sixth and went two for three for visiting Los Alamitos (8-4-1, 1-0 in league).
In Garden Grove League softball:
Garden Grove 4, Bolsa Grande 0--Sophomore Duffy White pitched a one-hitter for seventh-ranked Garden Grove (8-1-1, 4-0-1).
La Quinta 1, Kennedy 0--Shawnay Aguilera hit a leadoff double and scored three batters later after two consecutive base hits to help La Quinta upset the ninth-ranked team in the county.
Rancho Alamitos 3, Santiago 0--Destiny Mollison (5-5-1) pitched her second no-hitter of the season, striking out 13 for Rancho Alamitos (8-6-1, 3-2).
Pacifica 4, Los Amigos 0--Pacifica pitcher Jennifer Surface (7-2-1) threw a one-hitter, striking out nine, for host Pacifica (8-2-1, 4-1).
In Orange League softball:
Brea-Olinda 7, Savanna 1--Winning pitcher Andrea Schutte (5-2) hit a home run for host Brea-Olinda (7-2, 1-0).
La Habra 4, Troy 0--Junior Dani Ortega pitched a two-hitter for sixth-ranked La Habra (13-2, 1-0).
Western 15, Valencia 1--Beth Queypo struck out 16 for Western (6-7, 1-0).
In Pacific Coast League softball:
Laguna Hills 16, Century 4--Senior Sauci Hayes, who went four for four, hit three home runs and had four RBIs for visiting Laguna Hills (5-4-1, 1-0).
Trabuco Hills 7, Costa Mesa 0--Brianna Burkman threw her first no-hitter of the season and struck out nine for host Trabuco Hills (5-5, 1-0).
In Sea View League softball:
University 8, Saddleback 0--Michele Ponce threw a three-hitter, striking out 15, for host University (8-6, 1-0). Ponce now has pitched 32 consecutive scoreless innings.
Woodbridge 2, Tustin 1 (nine innings)--Keri Byrd had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for visiting Woodbridge (12-3, 1-0), the fourth-ranked team in the county.
In Sunset League golf:
Marina 197, Ocean View 217--Paul Ohshima shot a one-under-par 35 and Brian Rea shot 36 for Marina at Mile Square Park.
