SANTA ANA — The Alternative Repertory Theatre has announced a 1992-93 subscription season of four productions:
* “Antigone” by Jean Anouilh (Sept. 25 to Nov. 14).
* “A Christmas Memory” by Truman Capote and other staged readings (Dec. 11 to 24).
* “A Moon for the Misbegotten” by Eugene O’Neill (Jan. 22, 1993, to March 13).
* “Tartuffe” by Moliere (April 23, 1993, to June 12)
For the first time, ART will charge admission ($7.50) for “A Christmas Memory,” an annual staging of holiday stories presented until now free (with a charitable donation of toys for children or food for the needy).
Artistic director Patricia L. Terry said Monday that ART hopes to double its subscription base this year. The storefront troupe, currently in its fifth season, has about 400 subscribers.
The price of subscriptions will rise about 10% from the current season. They will range from $30 (for preview performances only) to $37.50 (for Thursday and Sunday performances) to $45 (for any performances, including Fridays and Saturdays).
Single tickets will cost from $12.50 to $15, no price change from this year.
