ORANGE COUNTY ALL-STAR FOOTBALL : Seven Mater Dei Players Lead Nominations

Seven players from Mater Dei, the Southern Section Division I champion, head the list of nominations for the South team that will participate in the 33rd Orange County all-star football game scheduled for July 10 at Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.

Among Monarchs nominated are record-breaking quarterback Billy Blanton and his favorite receiver, David Knuff.

Bruce Rollinson of Mater Dei, which was ranked No. 1 in the State last fall, will coach the South team. The 36-man squad will be announced April 18. The South nominations:
