Wet Seal Expands Habitat: The Wet Seal women’s apparel chain is pushing into the Pacific Northwest, adding to its Texas operation and has opened its 20th store in Florida.

The Irvine-based seller of fashionable women’s apparel plans to open its first Northwest store this month at the Southcenter Mall in Seattle. The Texas stores will be in the Dearfield mall in Humble, outside Houston, and the Parks at Arlington mall in Arlington. And the new Florida store will be in the Treasure Coast Square in Jensen Beach, north of Palm Beach.

Each of the stores incorporate the chain’s futuristic-looking mannequins and giant music video walls. But the architecture of each is designed separately to blend with the character of the surroundings, company executives say.
