Life goes on, but the show may not.
Nothing is official, but with ABC’s plan to challenge “60 Minutes” with another news magazine show next season, “Life Goes On,” the Sunday night series about a middle-class family coping with a Down’s syndrome child, is in jeopardy.
The final verdict on whether ABC will keep “Life Goes On” afloat by moving it to a different time period won’t be announced until May. Michael Braverman, the show’s creator and executive producer, remains optimistic but realizes economic considerations may be too severe to overcome.
Braverman expressed no regret for the series’ time slot, pitted against TV’s top-rated show. “Life Goes On” is in its third year.
Braverman is already excited about plans for next fall. He said he anticipates Corky seeking total independence by moving into a group home, and by getting married.
