Facilities: 300-person capacity auditorium and indoor basketball gymnasium, four baseball diamonds (two lighted), handball court, children’s play area, football field, two lighted tennis courts, volleyball court.
Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

After seven years as park director of Sunland Park and Recreation Center, Greg Perkins believes his is the busiest and perhaps most used park in the San Fernando Valley.
“We have so many people using the facilities that we have to put cones out to divide up the areas,†Perkins said. “But even with all the people, there is still a friendly atmosphere. People love this park.â€
The park has extensive sports programs including year-round baseball and one of the largest flag football leagues in the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department, he said.
