SAN DIEGO : Man Killed Trying to Board Train

An unidentified man was killed Saturday afternoon as he tried to board a northbound freight train and fell beneath the wheels of the moving cars.
Authorities said the mishap occurred about 1:30 p.m. in the downtown area, near the 1000 block of West Juniper Street.
Witnesses told officers that one man apparently was successful in boarding the train while three others hurried off after the incident.
