STAR HOOFERS: It’s the swallows that bring national attention to San Juan Capistrano, but today it’s a different animal that will draw the crowd to the 34th annual Fiesta de las Golondrinas Parade, known as the Swallows Parade. Organizers, who call it the biggest non-motorized parade in the country, predict their largest turnout, and attribute that to the star attraction, the majestic Scottish Budweiser Clydesdales. The Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the Orange Bowl and Tournament of Roses parades are just a few of the stops for the horses, who travel 90,000 miles a year.
