CBS Airs NCAA Basketball Marathon

College basketball dominates the sports television airwaves, with CBS’ 15 1/2 hours of coverage of the NCAA basketball tournament.
College Basketball: Channels 2 and 8 will air second-round games of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament today beginning with Duke vs. Iowa at 9 a.m.; Alabama vs. North Carolina at 11:30 a.m.; Ohio State vs. Connecticut at 1:45 p.m. and USC vs. Georgia Tech at 4 p.m.
Sunday’s second-round coverage is set for 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. Prime Ticket will carry the USC-Montana women’s tournament game at 5 p.m.
Pro Basketball: The Clippers will visit the Denver Nuggets at 6 p.m. tonight on KCOP Channel 13. The Philadelphia 76ers will meet the Indiana Pacers at 9 a.m. Sunday on Channels 4, 36 and 39.
Pro Football: The World League (formerly the World League of American Football) kicks off its second season when the Sacramento Surge plays host to the Birmingham Fire at 5 p.m. today on USA. ABC (Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42) will air the London Monarchs vs. the New York/New Jersey Knights at noon Sunday.
