Tustin Restaurant Wants Just the Fax
The Marie Callendar’s in Tustin has come up with its own version of fast food.
But its not fast food like the standard greasy burger and french fries shoved through your car window at the drive-through.
No, this is still a sit-down, table-service restaurant. It’s just that customers now can order their lunches via fax machine.
That way, busy workers can send over their orders in advance, indicating the time they plan to arrive on the fax.
When they show up, they are ushered to a table and their food is immediately served.
“We created this concept to make lunch less of an ordeal,” said manager David Stenton.
