Two people were killed in the Antelope Valley on Thursday after one of them failed to stop her car at a stop sign and was struck broadside by a motorcyclist, authorities said.
Steve Mastin, 33, and a 56-year-old woman, both of Lake Los Angeles, were killed instantly in the 8:40 a.m. accident, California Highway Patrol spokesman Miguel Siordia said.
The woman, whose name was withheld until relatives could be notified, was driving her car west on Avenue K and did not stop at the 150th Street East intersection, Siordia said. Mastin, who was riding his motorcycle north on 150th, hit the car on the driver’s side.
