In your editorial, readers were informed that our “unending cycle of violence (is) fed by fear and perpetuated by the myth that protection can be found with a loaded gun.â€
Yes; until we disarm all those terrible, bloodthirsty shopkeepers, police officers and the like who arrogantly persist in perpetuating the myth of personal and public protection via a firearm, we will never break our nation’s cycle of violence.
Heaven forbid that criminals should “fear†swift and certain armed retaliation from their victims!
