Rain Expected Through Today
Another winter storm from the Gulf of Alaska blanketed Ventura County on Thursday afternoon, dropping light rain on many areas of the county.
The precipitation is expected to last through today, said Steve Burback, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc.
“It doesn’t look heavy,†Burback said. “But it will be a steady rain. There will be mostly cloudy skies and lingering showers Saturday.â€
He predicted that the weather front would bring up to two inches of rain.
Forecasters had expected the storm to sweep through the area Wednesday, but a slow-moving cold front in the Midwest blocked its arrival for a day, he said.
Burback said temperatures today will reach into the upper 50s and low 60s. Overnight temperatures will fall into the mid-40s.
