Lottery to Review $25-Million Account: The California State Lottery has placed its estimated $25-million general advertising business up for review. The account is currently handled by Dailey & Associates, which has created lottery ads for five years. A lottery spokeswoman said a new agency will likely be named by June. She said the review will not be limited to California agencies. Although the advertising contract is for three years, the lottery has a 30-day cancellation clause. Dailey Chief Executive Phillip Joanou said his agency will probably not participate in the review. He said layoffs at the agency will be minimal because the firm recently won Sizzler’s ad business.
