Chapman Team: Boyd Is Out

Chapman basketball Coach Bob Boyd told players Sunday he wouldn’t be coaching them next season, two players said.

Boyd, whose Panthers lost to Cal State Dominguez Hills, 67-54, in their season finale Saturday, is in the final year of a three-year contract that he said wouldn’t be renewed, player Rog Middleton said.

Neither Boyd nor assistant Jerry DeBusk nor Athletic Director Dave Currey could be reached.
