Ye Qiaobo of China, double silver medalist at the Olympics, leads double gold medalist Bonnie Blair in the World Sprint Speedskating Championships at Oslo, Norway.
Blair won the 500 meters in 490.74 seconds, but trails Ye in the point standings, 83,575 to 84,120.
Igor Jelezovski of Belarus led the men with 75,920 points. Dan Jansen was second at 76,810.
