DIVISION II-A ROUNDUP : In another quarterfinal:

Ridgecrest Burroughs 61, Valencia 57--Scott Hansen made two free throws with 14 seconds left and Ridgecrest Burroughs held on at Esperanza High.

Hansen, who had a game-high 14 points, went to the line after Valencia was forced to foul late in the game trailing by two points.

The Tigers (15-10) had a chance at no worse than a tie with 59 seconds left, but Mario Aguirre’s 10-foot jump shot was short and teammate Marc O’Brien was tied up. The possession arrow was pointing Burroughs’ way.
