HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP : Kennedy Scares Carson Before Falling
- Share via
The voice of Carson High Coach Richard Masson had been among the loudest protesting the City Section basketball playoff pairings, specifically the second-round matchups it could create.
Kennedy almost made it a moot point Wednesday night.
Carson (18-7) needed 26 points from William Thomas--13 in the fourth quarter--to score a 59-53 win over Kennedy in a first-round 4-A Division game at Carson.
Rudy Washington, Carson’s leading scorer during the regular season, added 20 points and seven rebounds. Joe Wyatt had 18 points for Kennedy (17-9).
